I think people can´t understand me when I say this is a good story. I have several reasons to state it. Firstly, Rice talks from a child´s voice. That´s sweet!. It´s like if the rice were a child with his innocence. Secondly, the rice is expressing a wish, which is also a good action, it´s like the wish of a child who wants to grew up very early. Thirdly and most important, it´s a very good critique for the developed world (I mean, It´s obvious that the rice doesn´t live in the third world). But it also want to say that third world people is dying from hunger. The only thing they can eat is help.
I also thing this story is sweet and extremely nice! At first, I thought you were talking about a little kid, but when I realized that what you were describing were the thoughts of a rice grain, I really think it was even better in this way. Excellent idea! Good to use a situation related to our current world! =)
